Day 1: Marrakech – Zagora
Begin your journey with a scenic drive from Marrakech, crossing the breathtaking Tichka Pass at an altitude of 2,260 meters. En route, visit the UNESCO-listed Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou, a historic marvel and filming location for numerous iconic movies. Pause for a leisurely lunch in Ouarzazate before continuing through the lush Drâa Valley, renowned for its palm groves and traditional Berber villages.
Arrive in the Zagora desert, where a 1.5-hour camel trek will take you across golden dunes to a charming desert bivouac. Witness a mesmerizing sunset over the dunes, savor a delicious traditional dinner, and spend the night under a canopy of stars in the tranquil desert.
Day 2: Zagora – Marrakech
Wake up early to enjoy a magical sunrise over the desert, followed by breakfast. Begin the return journey to Marrakech, passing through Agdz and stopping in Ouarzazate. If time allows, explore the region’s famous movie studios and historic Kasbah. Enjoy lunch on-site before crossing the Tichka Pass again, arriving back in Marrakech around 7:00 PM.
